Florida Player Snags $3 Million in Mega Millions Draw
One Florida lottery player finally got the luck that had been eluding them last Friday and changed a regular ticket into a wonderful win of $3 million. The Mega Millions jackpot was not won again but a very lucky player is said to have matched correctly the five white ball numbers.
January 31 drawing unveiled the winning white numbers as 11, 34, 36, 43, and 63, and 13 as the Mega Ball. To hit all six numbers would have meant a mind-blowing $303 million jackpot, or a $136.7 million lump sum option. No one claimed the top jackpot, but that didn’t prevent even smaller wins, yet big enough to be staggering, from coming through.
Per official Mega Millions information, the Florida winner correctly matched the five white balls but did not select the gold Mega Ball, which usually gets the player $1 million. Their wise decision to use the 3X Megaplier bumped that single million to a massive three.
Five other barely identified players around the US lucky enough to combine four white balls and the Mega Ball are winners of a great gain. Of these lucky people, three have garnered $20,000 each, while the remaining two, with the Megaplier, raised their winnings to $30,000 each.
This time the pot has swelled to an unbelievable $323 million, with a $145.7 million cash payment that will be made to the one who will next get all six numbers. Next drawing is t be held on Tuesday, February 3, at 11 p.m. ET, players are already in pursuit of that dream ticket.
